Siberian Peashrub (Caragana arborescens) – UNAVAILABLE

Full sun to part shade. Zone 2-7.

Prefers a well-limed garden soil, though it seems to be widely adaptable.

An erect oval shrub or small tree to 15 feet in height. Its yellow pea flowers in May are followed by small peas in mid summer. Nitrogen fixing.

Use as a nitrogen fixing companion plant in edible hedges, orchards, and forest gardens. Makes a good chickenyard plant as it provides shade, predator protection and chicken feed.

Excellent protein source for poultry. Fresh peas are bland in taste and are best served in chilis or other spiced dishes.

$30.00 / 3 gal, $39.00 / 5 gal
